Lintec Engineering (Pty) Ltd

Lintec Engineering (Pty) Ltd was the first company under the group name and is still very much seen as the “mother ship”. Lintec is responsible for Engineering Solutions to specific wear situations and for the projects involving design, complete installations including fabrications and piping. The company has been dedicated to continuous improvement in applications knowledge since it’s registration in 1987.

Wear Protection Services (Pty) Ltd

Wear Protection Services (Pty) Ltd supplies the skilled artisans to install linings and lined components. The company was registered in 1994 with the view of creating jobs and skills for historically disadvantaged South Africans within the Wear Linings Industry. Wear Protection Services has a BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) scorecard, a copy is available on request. All employees of W.P.S. are included in a profit share scheme.

The founder of the group, Eric Olsen, has been involved with wear-resistant materials such as ceramics, carbides and hard metals since 1969.
He was also responsible for the first alumina applications in South Africa.

Lintec Group’s head office is in Johannesburg, South Africa. Although much of our work is on-site, a fair sized fabrication and lining factory is at head office. The Witbank branch was created to better serve the Witbank / Middleburg area, thus creating a quick response time to Local Mines and Power Stations. The Witbank crew mostly work on-site, although the branch can accommodate some of the smaller lining jobs in-house.

Our company representatives regularly travel across South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and Zambia. (As Southern Africa is easily accessible we are available to visit other countries within Southern Africa at relatively short notice.)
Other areas visited by our representatives include United Kingdom, Europe, China and America.
However with modern technology, exporting finished lined components seldom require on-site visits.
