Wear Products

Alumina Ceramics
Alumina Ceramics   Alumina ceramics offer exceptional wear and chemical resistance as well as mechanical and electrical insulation properties. Various specialised materials can be formed into almost any design and shape including intricate and machined components. A full range of alumina ceramic products is available.
Wear Resistant Epoxy Linings and Adhesives
Wear Resistant Epoxy Linings and Adhesives   Specific purpose adhesives and wear resistant mortars were developed and are manufactured according to strict quality control procedures. This range of products is suitable for specialised applications and offers protection against corrosion and abrasion.
Lava Tiles
Lava Tiles   Locally Manufactured economic linings with similar wear properties to cast basalt but less thermal problems.
Cast Basalt Materials
Cast Basalt : Cast Basalt Wear Resistant Material   Developed for slurry or high wear sliding applications, cast basalt is an effective wear resistant material. It provides a long lasting lining for static plant over which large volumes of abrasive and corrosive materials are passed. Cast basalt is available in pipe and tile forms.
Chrome Carbide
Chrome Carbide   This hard-facing overlay is normally fabricated in the form of liner plates and is applied in areas where thermal variation and/or substrate flexion are too great for alumina linings.
Tungsten Carbide
Tungsten Carbide   This material is one of the hardest readily available. It is ideal as a composite lining with alumina in demanding high wear applications.
Silicon Carbide
Silicon Carbide

Reaction Bonded silicon carbide is one of the hardest ceramics available. It offers exceptional resistance to wear. Silicon carbide is also outstanding in applications where thermal variations occur.

Nitride Bonded silicon carbide also provides good resistance against thermal variations. It is often used as a lining against abrasion and corrosion.

Oxide Bonded silicon carbide has good resistance to wear and excellent refractory properties including exceptional thermal shock resistance.

Polyurethane & U.H.M.W. Polyethylene
Polyurethane & U.H.M.W. Polyethylene   The tough, wear and corrosion resistant properties of Linplast 1 make it ideal for some pipe and other linings. Sharp, high velocity particles are normally handled better by ceramics. Linplast 2 has a very low coefficient of friction, which is useful to reduce 'hang-ups' when handling sticky materials.
Alloy Iron Liners
Alloy Iron Liners   600 BHN Cast Iron liner used mainly in pipes where particle energy is too high for ceramics.
Abrasion Resistant Concretes
Concretes : Abrasion Resistant Concretes   Abrasion resistant concretes for use up to 900°C. Used for flue gas ducts, sluiceways and for bedding other wear liners.
Mill Grinding Media
Mill Grinding Media   Alumina and Ziconia grinding media is available on request.
